The very first Pastoral Formation Intensive (PFI) of the One Focus Network is over and now officially “in the books”! This initial offering of PFI included nine brave pastors (from all over the country), led by two spiritual fathers (Pastors Dan and Merle). It was intense – and anointed, powerful, and even transformational.
The five days together included great fellowship, flavorful meals, incredible accommodations, idyllic scenic views, memorable & adventurous activities, prophetic ministry, hearty laughter, and raging horseshoe tournaments! All of this was interwoven with daily sessions, digging deeply into the fundamental of pastoral ministry that focused on the work of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of the men who attended. One highlight of many was the evening time of reflection and ministry around the campfire.
We are prayerfully preparing version 2.0 of PFI for July 2020. It will once again be hosted in the beautiful, wide-open wilderness of Black Hills, SD. New content for the sessions and adventures are currently under consideration. If you want to communicate your interest in next year’s PFI, please send an email to Taunja at One Focus ([email protected]). There is limited space and PFI alum will receive priority consideration when registration opens early next year (Jan. 2020).
“I had an opportunity to travel to Spearfish, SD for a Pastoral Formation Intensive! I spent the week with a group of pastors who are some of the finest men I know. We sought the Lord together, prayed and encouraged one another, went hiking, went to a shooting range, rode horses, stayed up and had late night talks, ate a cowboy dinner and many other things! I’m so grateful for what happened in my heart this week and I truly believe there will be fruit for many years from the last 6 days!!” Pastor Jimmy Foster.
“Very much enjoyed the time spent together with the other Pastors as we discussed various topics as well as the outdoor events during the week. Getting to spend that much quality time with likeminded men has enormous benefits and I very much enjoyed the private discussions with multiple men during the week, while hiking, and during the different rides in the van as well as in and around the house. The time spend eating and fellowshipping was very fruitful and I am grateful.” Pastor Adam Smithyman
