This past February, 16 of our One Focus pastoral couples packed up and headed to the beach in North Carolina!
There were couples from Virginia, New York, Pennsylvania & California! From February 7-10, they shared a (HUGE!) house in Kill Devil Hills. No sunbathing or swimming in the water on this trip (OK, maybe one of Executive Leadership Team DID actually take a quick plunge!). Rather, these couples came in order to invest in their marriages.
Three quality couples (the Williams, the Cromwells and the Backens) taught, invested and shared their lives with those in attendance over the course of the time together. It inspired rich times of sharing, deep conversation, some tears and plenty of laughter.
And of course, no One Focus retreat is complete without multiple lively games of Code Names, wonderful meals and deepening of relationships – both old & new.
These couples left the beach feeling refreshed, challenged & encouraged. May they all now Flourish in their marriages!
